Buck

Buck was a severely emaciated Redbone Coonhound puppy that we photographed in August 2010 at the high-kill Tangipahoa Animal Control facility in Hammond, Louisiana; he had been there for two months and was being considered for euthanasia due to his failing health. Soon after posting his picture, calls came in from people all over the country wanting to help save his life. Within days, a caring woman from Mississippi stepped forward to foster and rehabilitate him. Buck quickly became a happy, healthy and much-loved boy.
